Ashley's Top 2 Breathing Techniques

Whether your world feels hectic and you need a tool to soothe your nervous system, or you just want to wake up with a sense of balance and peace to kick-start your day, these two breathing techniques will support your path.


Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)

  1. Position your right peace fingers above your brow

  2. Use your thumb to cover the right nostril - Inhale through the left

  3. Uncover the right nostril, cover the left with your ring finger - Exhale through the right

  4. Inhale through the right 

  5. Cover the right nostril - Exhale through the left

Repeat *** you can count each breath and aim to lengthen the duration of your inhales and exhales for enhanced presence and grounding


Box Breathing

  1. Inhale for 4 counts

  2. Hold for 4 counts

  3. Exhale for 4 counts

  4. Hold for 4 counts

Repeat *** you can extend the count, particularly during exhalation, for increased relaxation
